“Frank was one of the most unique human beings I have known in my life. He had a very kind heart, encyclopedic knowledge, and loved his trains as much as much as any 67-year old man ever has. He was a balanced, very well informed humanist who did everything in his power to remain alive, even with a host of complicating medical problems. I will miss him dearly.”

“Frank was a uniquely wonderful presence on this planet for 67 years. I knew him most of the 21st century and found him to be endlessly knowledgeable, curious, full of good stories, and lots of wisdom. In spite of a history of endless medical problems, he had the courage and perseverance to survive and prosper in the face of ongoing challenges to his health. The trains will miss him!”
