He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hayes and Marjorie Hayes Burr (Hicks); and his brothers, Donald Hayes and Pete "Nelson" Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Doris Hayes (Johnson); his children, Cynthia "Cindy" Hayes (Greg), Michael Hayes and Jodie Gage; and also Willie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
