She was predeceased by: her parents, Hessel Bajema of Jong and Reino Bajema; her husband Ed (Ype); and her grandson Christopher Polinder. She is survived by: her children, Rea Korthuis (Bernie), Margaret Schilperoort (Matt), Dorothy Polinder (Scott), Harry Speelman and Lois Lovrien (Mark). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
