He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Dodd and Julia Dodd (Johnson); and his brother-in-law Keith Bakker. He is survived by: his wife Chris Dodd; his sons, Patrick Dodd (Brook) and Parker Dodd; his son-in-law Eric Lindquist; his siblings, Steve Dodd (Linda), Phil Dodd (Carroll) and Susan Bakker; and his nieces and nephews, Greg Dodd, Michael Dodd, Tim Dodd, Tracy Tetro, Amy Lathrop and Kary Smith. He is also survived by his father, brothers, sons, and friends.
