She was predeceased by: her parents, Schuyler Bulmer and Susanna Tiplin (Depew); her husband Lyle R. Smith; her children, Gary D. Smith and Shirley Rae Scheidegger; and her siblings, Robert (Joyce Tiplin) and Mavis (Bill Taylor).

She is survived by: her sons, Lyle Smith, Jr. and Jeffery (JoAnne Smith); her daughter-in-law Shirley L. Oswald of Bellingham; and her sister Phyllis Thomas (James). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren.
