It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Bruce Johnson (Bellingham, Washington), born in Leavenworth, Washington, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Frances Johnson; his brother Neil Johnson; his son Grant Johnson (Ann Heaps-Johnson); and his daughter-in-law Sheryl Johnson (Bill).
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Watson of Wenatchee, WA; his sons, Dick, John Johnson (Melinda) of Spokane, WA, Bill Johnson (Lisa) of Wenatchee, WA, Scott Heaps (Rachel) of Rathdrum, ID and Matt Heaps (Traci); and his daughter-in-law Maureen Johnson (Grant) of Issaquah, WA.. He is also survived by eleven grand-children and eight great grand-children.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard (and Ann's) memory can be made to Whatcom County Hospice, whose ongoing work was greatly respected by both of them.
