He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Nelson and Connie Nelson (Constant); and his sister Nancy Thorsen (late Linda S. Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Gail (McCombs); his sons, Rodney (Letha) of Ferndale and James (Connie) of Bellingham; and his grandsons, Andrew (Amber), Josiah (Allison) and Ryen Nelson (Courtney).
