He was predeceased by: his fathers, Melvin Bjornstad and Mervin Bjornstad; and his siblings, Loyal, Delores, Dorothy, Donita and Donna Lou.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his children, Leonard Jr. "Shorty" (Cindy), Mike, Jim (Windy) and Penny Olson (Rick); and his sister Darlene Gardner (Don). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
