He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; his son Johnny Ray; and his parents, Reyes and Secundina. He is survived by: his children, Jerry (Connie), Tony (Angie) and Debra Lindquist; and his sisters, Adela De La (Juan) and Chris Trevino. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
