He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pitner and Dorothy Pitner; his siblings, Joe Pitner, Richard Pitner, Susan Doran and Shelia Burlison; his stepbrothers, Rick and Scott Sprague; and his friends, George Detolo, Harold and Rabbit.
He is survived by: his daughter Rachel L. Smith; his siblings, Denise Ankrem and Larry Sprague; and his nieces and nephews, Mandy Pitner, Terri Pitner, Traci Pitner, Jesse Burlison, John Burlison, Cathy Doran and Jimmy Doran.
