He is survived by: his parents, Clifton Orem and Lola Orem; his wife Margie; his children, Drew (Karen), Tassie (Scott) and Teresa (Mike); his grandchildren, Audrey, Carly, Jeffery, Andy, Natalie, Baden and Savannah; his siblings-in-law, Brent and Cherie; his niece Regan (Gerald); and his nephew Trevor (Nikki).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Bellingham Technical College Foundation's general scholarship fund (http://www.btc.edu) and the Bellingham Sailing Foundation, with funds going towards the youth sailors of Whatcom County.
