He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lind and Doris Inez Lind; his wife Margaret Haveman Lind; his sister Edna Esterby; his son-in-law Stanley Erickson; and his granddaughter Lindsay Erickson.

He is survived by: his children, Lori, Lisa, Susan and David; his siblings-in-law, Tom, Patricia Haveman, Ian and Ruth Monson; his niece Kathy Kaiser; his grandchildren, Jill Erickson (Alex Gomez), Tim Erickson (Bri), Sarah Holmes (Trenton), Angelica Metcalfe and Ryan Metcalfe; his great grandchildren, Liam Anderson Holmes, Uniq, Antonio and Gianna Metcalfe; his brother Victor; and his sister-in-law Cherry Lind.

Because of them he was able to remain in his home during his last years as he lived with the effects of Parkinson's disease.
