She was predeceased by: her sister Jean; her husband Don Gibson; and her son Kevin. She is survived by: her children, Tamara (Gellert) of Seattle, Morgan, Frances, David of Macon, GA, Jane, Will, Brian of Seattle, Nora, Tess and Margaret Steyn of Vancouver, BC.
Later in life, Joyce developed Alzheimer's and struggled to recall all her life-long accomplishments.
