He was a key figure in advancing PNNLs now stellar reputation in geosciences research, making immense contributions in both fundamental and applied fields. But more than this he was a true PNNL icon, who's soul will forever define what it meant to be working there during that time, which, for many of us, was the pinnacle of our years doing research.
