He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Phillips and Glenn F. Phillips; and his brothers, Robert, David and Dennis Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Elizabeth Grate; his daughters, Nicole and Niki Nelson (David); his grandson Zane; his son Michael Phillips; his granddaughter Cordelia; and his sisters, Cyndie Bronowski and Christine Dezell.
