He is survived by: his wife Laveta; his sons, Monty Schmidt of Puyallup, WA and Marty Schmidt (Linda) of Gold Bar, WA; his grandchild Gregory Schmidt of Zachary Schmidt; and his brother Tim Schmidt of Fargo, N. D.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
