She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest William Bates and Dorothy Mae Bates (Perry). She is survived by: her daughter Danyale Pennick; her grandson Dreon Pennick; and her siblings, Samuel Webb Jr., Gregory Bates and Valerie Bates.
