With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nathan John Kalaf (Arlington, Washington), who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kalaf and Eva Kalaf; his wife D. Janet Kalaf; and his sisters, Fedwa Morris (Kalaf) and Mag Kemna (Kalaf).
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina (Kalaf) Gearheard (Brian Gearheard), Evelyn (Kalaf) Modahl (Dennis Modahl) and Stephanie (Kalaf) White (Todd White); his grandchildren, Tyler Hegstad (Katie Hegstad), Chelsea Juarez (Colton Juarez), Sevryn Modahl (Samie Modahl), Emaline Modahl and Macayla White; his great grandchildren, Easton Hegstad, Ames Hegstad, Jetson Juarez and Jaxton Juarez; his brothers, Elias Kalaf and John Michael Kalaf; his stepchildren, Michael Horn (Julia Horn), Curt Horn and Lori Grube; and his stepgrandchildren, Trevor Grube, Mira Horn (Julia), Sonna Horn and Cai Horn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Knights of Columbus - 8015/Coats for Kids, honoring Nathan's generous spirit.
