It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Carter (Aberdeen, Washington), born in Spokane, Washington, who passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Grundy and Agnes Carter (Paulson); his stepmother Edna; and his half-brother Michael. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Adrianna Shaw (Scott), Sabrina Carter and Benjamin Carter; his grandchildren, Aidan and Lucy Shaw; his sisters, Darlene Greenawalt (Norma Whitacre) and Gwen; and his pet Socrates.
He was a Friend of the Library, participated in Rainy Day Reader Review and spent hours evaluating student scholarship applications for the Bishop Foundation.
