He was predeceased by: his wife Mardelle Kain; his son Kevin Kain; his siblings, Bob Kain, Betty Jennings and Evelyn; and his grandson Tyler Barton.
He is survived by: his children, Marda Barton (Brent) of Bellevue, Washington, Valenda Fjeld (Wayne) of Aberdeen, Karessa Kain of Aberdeen, Norlan Kain (Vicky) of Aberdeen and Vance Kain (Marla) of Austin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
