He is survived by: his parents, Paul Victor and Phoebe Rose Laakso (Russell); his wife Mercedes; his daughter Phoebe Rose Laakso; his stepdaughter Ana Maria Acosta; his siblings, Judy Roggy, Janice Marks (Stephen), Jeannie Legat (Lewis) and Jerry Laakso (Connie) of Bellingham; and his granddaughter Chrissanna Mareno. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
