With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan Rogers Blackmer (Woodstock, Vermont), who passed away on December 4, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Blackmer and Josephine Blackmer (Bedford); and his siblings, Donald, Frederick Blackmer and Noelle Beatty.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Shepherd; his daughter Alexis Ackerman (Josh); his grandchildren, Melia and Alex; his daughter Amanda Bouchet; his grandchildren, Sebastien and Seraphine of Paris, France; his stepdaughter Melissa Porter (Robert); his stepgrandchildren, Brittany and Nicholas; his stepson John-James Shepherd (Lindsay); his stepgrandsons, John and William; and his brother-in-law George Beatty of Colorado. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Upper Valley Haven.
