He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinz Schroeter and Lillian Schroeter (Silberman). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Schroeter (Klecka); his daughter Elizabeth Courtney (Zephan Courtney); his grandchildren, Josephine and William Courtney of Wolcott, VT; his brother Walter Schroeter; his children, Wendy Walden (Schroeter) and Robert Schroeter; his sister Clare Johnson (Schroeter); his nephews, Bruce Johnson and Christopher Johnson; and his niece Jennie Richards (Johnson).
