She was predeceased by: her daughter Nicole Palmer. She is survived by: her parents, Mattie Lou Davis and Laymon Davis (Boo); her siblings, Danny B. Davis, Jennifer Davis (Eric) of Goose Creek, SC, Jessica Davis-Osorio (Edmund) and Linda Lee High of Goose Creek, SC; her close friend Albert Johnson of Burlington, Vermont; her granddaughter Keyleah Davis; her aunt Annie Lee Brown of New York; and her uncle Fred Simmons (Barbara). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.

“Wanted say Vanessa helped me thru my hardest times. I’m not sure I would’ve gotten thru them and I would’ve changed my life if it wasn’t for her. She sat with me everyday snd we prayed she got me to believe in myself and god and her words helped me thru 5 years of prison. No words can express the hurt in my soul she had a great spirit and a loving soul she will be truly missed by so many. I’m so blessed to have spent so many months knowing her on the inside and once we was home. rip my friend .”
