She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leopold Martel and Evelyn Martel; her husband Reginald R Yates; her children, Judy Allard, Jim, Edna Yates, Kelley and Randy Jewell; her grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Ashley, Tanya and Brittany; and her sister Aline Schwalm. She was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
