It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arlene Mary Gates (Winooski, Vermont), born in Hamburg, New York, who passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gates and Margaret K Schmitt Gates; and her brother William Gates Jr.. She is survived by: her sisters, Dorothy Ziccarelli, Eleanor Matarazzo and Mary Barnes. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
It was at the time of COVID that she started having serious memory problems and other illnesses which she bore bravely right to the end.
