She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Melton Snyder; her son-in-law Steve Snyder; her grandchildren, Ian of Weathersfield, VT and Virginia Snyder of Weathersfield, VT; her sister Meriam Carpenter of Covington, VA; her nieces and nephews, Beth Cross (Bill) of Roanoke, VA, Joseph Carpenter IV (Lori) of Chesapeake, VA, William Shupe (Beth) of Dallas, GA, Ricky Shupe of Galax, VA, Tina Burford (Brett) of Dallas, TX, Carrie Wright (Tommie) of Woodford, VA and Randy Melton (Evelyn) of Fredericksburg; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Katie Cross, Joseph Carpenter V, Jacob, Emma Carpenter, Dalton Burford, Sarah Burgess and Daniel Shupe; and her cousins, Jean Lipscomb Butcher of Roanoke, Edward L. Lipscomb of Elon, N. C., J. C. Croft Jr. (Barbara) of Boca Raton, FL, Dr. R. L. Croft Sr. (Rowe) of South Hill, VA, Waller Hunt III (Liz) of Fredericksburg, VA, Dr. Keith Kellogg Hunt Jr. (Carmelita) of Roanoke, VA, Robert Hufford Hunt of Salem, VA, Burks Hunt of Gainesville, FL and Darlin. She is also survived by parents lived with several different family members.
A celebration of life will be held when Covid has passed and it is once again safe to have family gatherings.
