Maria K. Shoemaker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria K. Shoemaker of Windsor, Vermont, who passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilhelm Grosser and Katharina Grosser; her stepfather Rudolph Riefler; her significant other Carl Shoemaker; her children, Carl Shoemaker (Donna) of Merrimack, NH, Christina Dame of Weymouth, MA, Marietta Smith (Eric) of Jacksonville, NC and Peter Shoemaker (Julie) of Woodstock, VT; her grandchildren, Bradley, Lauren, Chelsea Shoemaker, Sabrina Parsons, Colby Dame, Matthew, Andrew Smith, Elliott, Alden and Claudia Shoemaker; her siblings, Wilhelm, Erich Grosser and Rudolfine Dorfhuber; and her nieces, Elke Dorfhuber of Germany and Karin Laubert of Germany. She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
Unfortunately, many residents in long term care facilities felt the ravages of Covid without even having the virus themselves.
