He was predeceased by: his former wife Freda Scales Monroe; and his son Donald. He is survived by: his wife Dora Yandow Poulin; his daughters, Calveda Heslinga and Kathleen Rivers; his grandchildren, Janna Hickel and Ryan Heslinga (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Carter, Elizabeth Hickel and Solomon Heslinga. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
