He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth W. Barber and Edith Barber (Spencer) of Windsor, Connecticut.; his former wife Alice King (Tomkievich) of Bloomfield; his wife Ida Barber (Pike); his son Thomas Spencer Barber of Johnson; and his sister Elizabeth Dougherty of Newington, Connecticut..
He is survived by: his children, Susan Hackney (John Hackney) of Montpelier, Robert Barber of Jackson and Penny Barber of Essex Junction, Vermont.; his brother Robert Barber of Rockledge, Florida.; his stepdaughters, Eileen Perkins (Bill Perkins) of Johnson and Anita DeGoosh of New Haven Connecticut; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Owen, Sophia Manley and Dustin Lamore; his friends, Kaylie Collins and Jane Farrell; and his daughter Sue.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no celebration of life until next spring or summer (2021).
