He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Leavitt and Charlotte Leavitt (Elliott); his son Edwin R. "Eddie" Leavitt; and his siblings, Henry, William Leavitt, Janet Ford, June Gunzinger, Jean Leavitt and Rachel Darrah.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie; his children, Rick Leavitt (Cheryl) of Newport, NH and Laurie Braley (Wayne) of Windsor, VT; his son-in-law Conrad Farnham-Leavitt of Claremont, NH; his grandchildren, Abby, Amy and Eric; and his great grandchildren, Logan and Mackenzy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Contributions in his memory may be made to his son's scholarship at the Hartford High School.
