He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariam McDonald (Siegfried) and T. Hill McDonald; and his brother Frederick. He is survived by: his wife Alice Dalrymple; his children, Jeffrey Thomas McDonald (Katherine) and Elizabeth "Lisa" McDonald Qualmann (Lance); his grandsons, Rowan Patrick McDonald, Chase Alexander McDonald, Will Edwin Qualmann, Levi Thomas Qualmann and Jude Immanuel Qualmann; his brother Richard (Rick); and his brother-in-law Clark Dalrymple (Cynthia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
