He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Potwin and Edith Potwin (Sanderson); his son Nelson, III; and his brothers, Frederick, Richard and David Potwin.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeanette Leavitt (Steven); his granddaughters, Bailey and Courtney Leavitt; and his siblings, Sylvia Baird of St. George, UT, Charles, Sr. of South Royalton, Paul of Taftsville, Roland of Royalton, Ralph of Roxbury, VT, Howard and Dennis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
