Edna M. Torrey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna M. Torrey of White River Junction, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Though Edna has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Gray and Beaulah Gray (Waters); her husband Eugene H. Torrey; and her daughter-in-law Allison Torrey. She is survived by: her sons, David Torrey (Sixto Hernandez) of Hartland, VT, Mark Torrey (Bonnie Brady) of Canaan, NH, Randall Torrey (Becky) of Canaan, NH, Robert Torrey (Clara Santiago) of Pawtucket, RI and Jonathan Torrey (Jenny) of Firestone, CO; and her siblings, Larry Gray of Arizona, Herb Gray of East Thetford, VT and Joyce Benway of Danbury, VT. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home (903 Hartford Ave., White River Junction, VT 05001). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Lebanon Cemetery.
