He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Stammers and Lillian Stammers (Wentworth); and his siblings, David, Richard, Robert Stammers and Dorothy Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Akers; his children, Tim Stammers (Janine) of Canaan, NH, Tom Stammers of Oregon and Sharon LaPlante of Chester, VT; and his sister Roberta Stammers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
