Dorothy (Dot) Irene Root Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy (Dot) Irene Root of Westford, Vermont, born in Fairfax, Vermont, who passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Girard Learned and Agnes Learned (Boozan); her husband Eastman Root Sr.; her brothers, Aaron, Elmer and Ralph Learned; and her stepson Richard Root.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary (Jim Anderson); her son-in-law Jim Anderson of Fairfax; her children, Eastman (Patricia Root), Sharon (John Palmer) and Bruce (Linda Root); her daughter-in-law Beverly LaPlant of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Anitra (Reggie Spiller), Justin Root, Tina (Peter Zettel), Jeremy (Cindy Anderson), Maureen (Brad Weed), Jodi (Jeff Deslauriers), Josh Root (Heather Dolloff), Brad (Emily Root), Olivia Root (Jordan Pasha) and Wendy Root-Clark (Randy Root); and her sisters, Marcia Wilkinson of Virginia, Margaret Woodworth of Westford, Bernice Hakey of Swanton, Mary Cleary of Milton and Arlene Brown (Bill) of Fairfax. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
