He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert B. Stearns and Christine Stearns (Belden); his son Gilbert J. Stearns; and his sister Rae Tracy. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Stearns (Tarvit) of West Rutland; his children, Christi Lee Koch of Brandon, Gordon Stearns of Brandon, Glenn Stearns of West Rutland and Greg Stearns of Sahuarita, AZ; and his siblings, Ronald Stearns of Ascutney, Carl Stearns of Weathersfield and Ann Ashford of Littleton, MA.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
