He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Mitchell and Marjorie Mitchell of Hinsdale, NH.; his sister Suzanne of Port St; his parent-in-law Coralie Roberts; and his brother Roger McMahon. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
He began coaching Rivendell JV softball and moved on to coach Varsity softball until his last softball season was canceled due to the pandemic.
