She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Carnie and Lillian Duquet Carnie; and her husband George Caruthers. She is survived by: her children, Gary Carruthers (Jackie) of Wilmington, VT and Judy Cloutier (Maurice) of Greenfield, MA; her grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, Jessica, Sarah and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Colin, Josie, Cassie, Samantha, Henry, Hannah and Cayden.
At the request of the family and due to Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life for Virginia will be held later in the year.
