He is survived by: his children, Gary Ely (Val), Brian Ely and Linda Newland (Brian) of East Burke; his daughter-in-law Cindy Ely of Bradford, VT; his grandchildren, Patricia Switser (Ben), Philip Newland (Jess), Evan Newland, Jeremy Ely (Holly), Greg Ely (Stephanie), Heather Ely and Jessica Lund (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Holden, Grant, Jerzie Newland, Able, Sawyer Brown, Shelby, Whitney Ely, Lucas, Natalie Ely, Chase, Grace Lund and Jace Ely. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
