He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa J Hayes and Ola Marie Hayes (Philips); and his wife Lynne. He is survived by: his close friend Carol Combs; his children, Dawn Meador (Lee), Asa Hayes (Laurie), Becky Lanfear (Calvin), Holly Hayes Martelle and Stephanie Case; his stepchildren, Greg Harrington (Bonnie), Valarie Woodruff (Frank), Lisa Martelle, Julie Greene and Jo-Lynne Bartholomew (Bart); and his pet Trixie. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home (23 Church St, Granville, NY 12832).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to High Peaks Hospice, 1247 Lower Dix Ave, Hudson Falls, NY 12839 or to Haynes House of Hope, 7187 NY 149 Granville, NY 12832, so that others may experience their wonderful care.
