He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Emerson (Bartlett) and Charles "Warren" Emerson; his wife Marilyn Emerson (Powers); his siblings, Lawrence Emerson, Philip Emerson, Russell Emerson and Rachel Emerson; and his son-in-law Rick Benoit.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Emerson of Newbury, VT, Alan Emerson (Linda) of Hinesburg, VT, Neil Emerson (Amy) of South Ryegate, VT and Janice Duvall (Kurt) of Walden, VT; his grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany, Kevin, Richie, Katie, Maggie and Will; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Mia, Gavin, Jackson, Cole, Lennox, Weston, Parker, Anthoni, Mackenna and Ricky; and his sister Phyllis Hayward of Chelsea, VT. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
