He was predeceased by: his parents, William McNeil and Clara McNeil (Holden); and his siblings, Roger McNeil, William McNeil and Kathleen "Kitty" Berry.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine McNeil (Kibble); and his siblings, Stephen McNeil (Andrea), Mike McNeil (Donna), Linda Wright (George), Randy McNeil (Terri Decker) and Stuart McNeil (Debbie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
