Raymond Elwin Eastman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Elwin Eastman (Waterbury Center, Vermont), born in Moretown, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 94. Though Raymond Elwin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Raymond Elwin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwin Eastman and Rose Eastman (Boyce); his sister Helen R. Utton; and his great-nephews, Xavier Belval and Dylan Baker.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Cedric Utton of Moretown. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews 5 great nephews, and 4 great nieces, as well as extended family.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (56 South Main Street, Waterbury Center, VT 05676). A reception was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
A celebration of the life of Raymond E. Eastman will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury, with a reception to follow, for those who wish memorial contributions can be sent to Wesley United Methodist Church, PO Box 214 Waterbury, VT 05676.
