He is survived by: his wife Helen Mary Margraf of Winchester, CT; and his children, Sandy (Gilbert Blanchard Jr.) of Cavendish, Alan (Xiaohong) and Richard (Judee). He is also survived by one grandson, several great grandchildren, two nephews.
