It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hugh Clifford Young (Wallingford, Vermont), born in Tinmouth, Vermont, who passed away on June 28, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman D. Young, Sr. and Eva B. Young; and his siblings, Lillian, Helen, Elizabeth, Josephine, Theresa, Ruth, Charlotte and Hadwin.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kelley Young of Portland; his son Kelley Young; his daughter-in-law Sharon-Lee Brinkman-Young of Portland; his granddaughter Alexandra Brinkman-Young (James Marsden) of Oxford, England; and his brothers, Paul Young of Rutland, Vermont, Richard Young of Pahrump, Truman Jr. and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Hugh's memory to The Cedars, 630 Ocean Avenue, Portland, ME 04103, to be used to maintain or improve the greenhouse.
