He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence A. Shedd and Madlyn Florence Shedd (Harriott); his wife Jean Claire Stafford; and his brothers, Paul Shedd and Robert C. Shedd.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Allen (Robert) of Ira and Bradford Shedd (Leonora) of Fairlee; his grandchildren, Sarah Allen of Rutland, Blair Shedd (Sarah) of Fairlee and Robert Allen Jr. (Lindsey) of Wallingford; his great grandchildren, Devon Shedd, Madlyn Shedd, Xander Shedd of Fairlee, Penelope Allen of Wallingford and Henry Allen of Wallingford; and his sisters, Grace M. Bagley and Alice M. Munson of Weybridge. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
