It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sonya Shippee of Vernon, Vermont, born in Brattleboro, Vermont, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Howard and Myra Howard (Brown); her sister Constance O'Masta; and her grandson Derrick Shippee. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Shippee Sr.; her sons, Lawrence Shippee Jr. (Jean) of Vernon, VT, Shane Shippee (Linda) of Vernon, VT, Shawn Shippee (Alison) of Westmoreland, NH and Sheldon Shippee of Martinez, GA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Calantropio (Garrett), Jessica Shippee (Dan Spooner), Lawrence Shippee III (Allison Cram), Vickie Rea (Robert), Seth Shippee (Elizabeth Parolski), Alex Shippee, Brendon Shippee (Alyssa) and Reagan Shippee; and her great grandchildren, Tenley, Mason Rea and Paxton Shippee. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the West Brattleboro Baptist Church.
