He is survived by: his brother Charles Saunders (Mary) of Buffalo; his sister-in-law Margaret Saunders of Hamburg; his daughters, Samantha Betit (Brad) of Vernon, Vermont and Laural Colbert (Russell) of Whitingham, Vermont; his stepsons, James Knapp (Amy) and Ira John Knapp (Michelle) of Wardsboro, Vermont.; his grandchildren, Dale Colbert, Karli Knapp, Marissa, Miranda, Kaleb Betit and James Knapp; and his nieces and nephews, Max, Justin, Mason, Rory, Douglas, Claire, David, Stephen and John.
