It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Parks Panton of Vergennes, Vermont, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Parks and Freda Preston Parks of Monkton, VT.; her husband Turtle Panton; the father of her children Loren Barr; and her siblings, Barbara Bull and Bill Parks.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Bill Vincent of Ferrisburgh; her son Bruce; her daughter-in-law Amy Barr of Vergennes; her grandchildren, Chelsea Rheaume (Eric), Jon-Taylor Vincent (Morgan), William Barr, Suzanne Levack Carrier (Alex) and Peter Levack (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Addie Rheaume, Andy Vincent and Zoey Rheaume; and her stepchildren, Julie Cushman (Lynn), Susie Purcell (Brian) and Richard Panton. She is also survived by many grandchildren & great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no services at this time. The family is planning a graveside service and/or Celebration of Life at a later time as COVID restrictions allow.
